Ourmilla Sharma is very busy in her community, both as a businesswoman and a philanthropist.

Ms. Sharma's favorite charity organization is the Radha Krishna Foundation, a privately funded, nonprofit group that serves young people worldwide in the name of Shri Radha Krishna.

The Foundation seeks to instill positive life principles and does this in many ways.  The group helps to run community centers and runs summer camps for children.  They also work to provide school supplies to needy children, run mobile medical drives to help both children and the elderly, and conduct programs that help to encourage healthy eating and living habits.  The Foundation also offers scholarships for needy children and awards excellent students with prizes for their efforts.  The goal of the foundation is to help the poor improve their social structure and work on their personal development and also to help young people to acquire a sense of responsibility.

Ourmilla Sharma was born in Guyana.  She earned her BA in economics at New York University.  After working as an international foreign exchange trader, a leading market analyst, and the manager of a multi-million dollar bond portfolio for Dresdner RCM Capital Management, Ms. Sharma decided to go into business with her husband, Satyanand Sharma. They have had several successful business endeavors under the AA Group of Companies, such as AA Internet Consultants and AA Funding Solutions.  Ms. Sharma is vice president of AA Agri Industries, which is part of this group.

AA Agri Industries was incorporated in September of 2010.   The company grows rice in Guyana on 500 acres of farmland.  AA Agri Industries aims to be the top producer of quality rice in the region, to help the country export rice, to make their brand a household name within 5 years, and to open up rice markets worldwide.
